Very nice shot! It's a nice idea taking a photo of this white bulding when it's snowing. The heavy contrast between the dark roof covered of snowflakes and the white walls is really nice.
Now, I'm surprised to see a white walled bulding in UK. This is typical in the South or Europe bc several reasons, but never had seen such thing in an UK bulding. How is it?

Lots of old pubs (especially ones with thatched roofs) are painted white so they look like tudor buildings with white-washed plaster walls. Most of them are no more than 150 years old, but they try to imitate buildings 400 years old like these:

Oh, that's very interesting! I didn't know Tudor's architecture involved white walls in pubs (and taverns, I guess). Was it some short of brand to recognize the bulding among other kinds of buldings? I guess it isn't because the same reason than in Mediterranean buldings, but perhaps I'm wrong.
The samples you show me have the wood beams in dark as the rest of the wall is whitewashed, so it kinds of remind me the typical german buldings in Baviera or so... However, the one of the main photo has no visible wood beams, just brick walls. Still, it's catching and untipical.
